Ailments
(Per the Arizona Medical Marijuana State Statutes)
Patients with a wide variety of conditions may quality for a medical marijuana evaluation. If a patient has been diagnosed with and is currently undergoing treatment for the following debilitating medical conditions they may qualify for certification:
- Cancer
- PTSD
- Glaucoma
- Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus
- Acquired immune deficiency syndrome
- Hepatitis C
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- Crohn’s disease
- Agitation of Alzheimer’s disease
A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition that produces any of the following:
- Cachexia or wasting syndrome
- Severe and chronic pain
- Severe nausea
- Seizures (including those characteristic of epilepsy) or
- Severe and persistent muscle spasms (including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis)
